Enter and Graph Functions

Entering Functions to Graph

To graph a function, enter the function's 'specifying rule' using 'standard notation'.

In R:

* indicates multiplication.

^ indicates exponentiation.

Divison is indicated by /.

The standard transcendental functions are indicated as in ordinary mathematical notation except that the exponential function is 'exp()' and 'log()' is the natural logarithm rather than the base 10 logarithm. Click on the link below for further explanation about how to enter functions in the app and to see a few examples.
